Scottish Aquathlon Championships
Club chair James threw in a last minute entry and made a flying day trip down to Loch Lomond for this years Scottish Aquathlon Championships. Basically a sprint distance triathlon less the bike leg. So a splash and dash involving a 750m swim and 5km bike.
Compared to a triathlon its minimum kit fuss, rapid fire and over in a flash; particularly with the numerous GBR and Scottish squad kit on show. Having been training for longer distance events James managed to finish well in 34.50 in 26th overall and 9th in the senior mens race.
